The Land Transportation Office issued a show cause order (SCO) to the owner of a red Mitsubishi Mirage that was involved in a road incident in Paranaque City this Friday.

In the video posted by a concerned netizen on social media, the vehicle can be seen intentionally ramming into pedestrians and an e-bike on the side of the road along Quirino Avenue in Paranaque City.

The driver subsequently stepped on the gas and fled the scene, even going as far as going against oncoming traffic and beating the red light, as the netizen attempted to chase after them on their motorcycle.

Officials from the LTO ordered the owner and driver of the vehicle to submit a sworn statement on why they should not be charged with reckless driving and have their license be revoked for being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

The driver’s license of the owner has also been suspended for 90 days while authorities wait for the suspect to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division of the Land Transportation Office in Quezon City.
