The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced that it has filed two counts of murder against three suspects in the killing of Diane Marie Mollenido and her eight-year-old son.
Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio identified Christian and Pia Panganiban, along with an alias “Gil,” as the primary suspects in the case.
All three are set to face two counts of murder without bail, based on evidence recovered from the crime scene.
The victim’s husband, John Mollenido, was found to have no involvement in the incident and was subsequently removed from the list of respondents.
An individual identified as alias “Maribel,” who authorities said was present during the incident, was cleared of all charges and designated as an ordinary witness.
Silvio said the QCPD remains focused on securing justice for the victims and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.
“We are deeply committed to bringing justice to PSMS Diane Marie Mollenido and her young son, John Ysmael. While their loss is irreplaceable, we will continue to ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions,” he said.
