For many fans, the long-awaited reunion concert of the Sexbomb Girls marked pure nostalgia. But for original member Izzy Trazona, returning to the stage meant something more personal — a decision grounded in marriage, faith and mutual respect.
Before committing to the performance, Izzy shared that she first spoke to her husband, Alvin Aragon. The moment did not bring immediate approval, but instead became a process they faced together.
“Before that day po, kinontak ko na si Mia that, nag-decide na ko sabi ko… actually, nagpaalam muna ko, ‘Hon, pupunta ko sa concert.’ Una parang hindi siya okay. And then he prayed, pinag-pray niya muna. And then finally he said, ‘O sige, go, yes.’”
During the interview, host Boy Abunda asked the obvious question:
“Bakit may pag-aatubili?”
Alvin revealed that his hesitation came from the magnitude of the event — and the responsibility that came with it.
“Hindi madali eh, nung sinabi niya sa akin, Tito Boy, na magshe-share s’ya ng love ni Jesus sa concert. Tsaka hindi madali ’yun na desisyon. Ang dami kaseng tao eh. MOA Arena is 15,000 ang capacity tapos magsasalita ka? Hindi madali. ‘Teka lang, Hon.’ So, pinag-pray ko muna. Tapos nag-devotion ako. So, naconvince ako na ito guidance ng Panginoon sa kanya. ‘O sige, Hon, I support you. Kung gusto mong umattend, umattend ka.’”
What could have been a simple comeback became a shared spiritual decision — not just about performing, but about purpose.
For Izzy, the reunion was more than reliving choreography and cheers. It became a platform she believed carried a message. And for Alvin, support came after reflection, prayer and trust.
In the end, the stage lights turned on — not only for entertainment, but for a story of partnership where faith and showbiz met at the center of the arena.
