Davao clubs host 77th PAL Interclub from 19 February

DAVAO CITY — Three Davao-based golf clubs will host the 77th edition of the Philippine Airlines Interclub golf tournament, which tees off from 19 February to 6 March.

South Pacific Davao Golf Club, Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club and Apo Golf and Country Club will share hosting duties for one of the country’s premier amateur golf events.

South Pacific Davao Golf Club will serve as the centerpiece venue, hosting both the Seniors and Men’s Regular competitions, along with the team captains meeting and tournament proper, including the traditional ceremonial tee-off.

“On behalf of South Pacific Davao and our entire team, it is truly an honor to welcome all the delegates, captains, players, officials, and guests to the 77th Philippine Airlines Interclub here in beautiful Davao City,” South Pacific Davao General Manager Elson Alvaran said in a statement.

Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club will stage the Seniors’ Division tournament from 22 to 26 February.

“We are very grateful to the 77th PAL Interclub Tournament Committee for choosing us to host the Seniors’ Division Tournament on 22-26 February,” Rancho Palos Verdes General Manager Marlon Tabanao said.

Apo Golf and Country Club will host the Men’s Regular competition scheduled from 2 to 6 March.

“Apo Golf & Country Club, Inc. welcomes the PAL Interclub Tournament and is looking forward to hosting the PAL Interclub Men’s Regular golfers,” Apo General Manager Ed Marasigan said.

The Dusit Thani Davao Grand Ballroom will host the Seniors Division awarding ceremonies on 26 February, while the SMX Convention Center-Davao at SM Lanang Premier will stage the Men’s Regular awards night on 6 March.
