PLDT Enterprise is expanding its reach to remote and underserved areas by integrating Starlink satellite services into its enterprise offerings.

In a statement on Sunday, the Pangilinan-led firm said Starlink is now being used by the provincial government of Camarines Sur and SMS Global Technologies Inc. (SMSGT), providing critical connectivity for local communities, education, healthcare and disaster response.

The company became the first and only telecom unit in the Philippines to be an Authorized Starlink Reseller after launching the service in 2025.

Since then, it has been serving both government agencies and private sector clients.

“Within a year of deployment, Starlink has reached customers across the public sector, agriculture, banking, and other key industries — underscoring the accelerating adoption of satellite connectivity as a practical, enterprise-grade solution, particularly in underserved locations,” said Blums Pineda, PLDT senior vice president and head of the Enterprise Business Group.

PLDT Enterprise said Starlink can serve as primary internet access in remote areas or as a backup for mission-critical operations.

“We have been delivering it as part of a fully managed, end-to-end connectivity ecosystem across the PLDT Enterprise Business Group — integrating fiber, wireless, managed SD-WAN, cybersecurity, data centers, and cloud solutions — allowing businesses to achieve resilience and scale through a single, trusted partner,” Pineda said.

The satellite initiative is part of PLDT Group’s push to provide reliable connectivity across key sectors, including logistics, energy, banking, agriculture, education, healthcare, disaster response, and public services.
