A 55-year-old man was arrested and about 1.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P10,200 were confiscated in a buy-bust operation on 3 February in Barangay San Lorenzo, Bangui.
Police identified the suspect as Dominador Palpallatoc y Sarrosa, also known as “Onyol,” single, unemployed, and a resident of the same barangay.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit and the Bangui Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1.
Authorities said Palpallatoc was caught selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance to an undercover operative. A follow-up search led to the recovery of five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a combined estimated weight of 1.5 grams.
Also recovered were one genuine P1,000 bill and five fake P1,000 bills used as buy-bust money, one open transparent plastic sachet, and one Oppo A5S Android mobile phone.
Police said the operation was documented using two body-worn cameras. The inventory and marking of the seized items were conducted at the place of arrest in the presence of the suspect and mandatory witnesses, in accordance with existing laws and procedures.
The suspect remains in police custody and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
