PRO3 seizes P24.23-M worth of illegal drugs

PRO3 presents drug haul worth ₱24.23-M and other evidence; suspects processed after major January operations targeting narcotics and wanted persons in Central Luzon.

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) wrapped up a month of intensified anti-crime and anti-illegal drug operations in January 2026, with over P24 million worth of narcotics confiscated and more than 1,700 individuals taken into custody.
According to PRO3's latest report, in its manhunt operations, the region arrested 814 wanted persons – including 124 most wanted individuals and 79 who were listed as Top Ten Most Wanted at the regional, provincial, and municipal levels – highlighting intelligence-driven efforts to target high-priority suspects.
The region also conducted 659 anti-drug operations that led to the arrest of 943 suspects, among them 22 High Value Individuals (HVIs). Seized contraband included 3,499.48 grams of shabu valued at ₱23.8 million, 1,229.20 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth ₱147,503.69, 144.894 grams of kush priced at ₱217,341.60, and 43.733 ecstasy tablets estimated at ₱74,346.10 – totaling ₱24,236,481.23 in illegal drugs.
PRO3 Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr attributed the results to dedicated police work and adherence to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) strategic agenda.
“These accomplishments come from focused operations, strong intelligence support, and the commitment of our officers who prioritize public safety in line with Chief PNP PGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr’s directives. Every arrest and every drug seizure brings us closer to safer communities across Central Luzon,” Peñones said.
He emphasized that all operations follow lawful procedures and rely on community cooperation, noting that sustainable progress against crime is built through partnership between police and the public.
“We will continue pursuing criminals and dismantling drug networks while upholding professionalism, accountability, and respect for human rights,” he added.
PRO3 assured the public that efforts against criminality will remain intensified in the coming months to maintain peace and order throughout the region.
