Authorities arrested three suspects Friday night in connection with the murder of a policewoman and her eight-year-old son.

Police identified the suspects as Pia Katrina Panganiban, 29, a car agent; her husband, Christian Suarez Panganiban, 44, a dismissed police officer; and Gil Valdemoro Dy, 41, an accomplice.

The suspects were apprehended in separate operations between 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. at locations in Quezon City, including Galicia Street in Villa San Agustin, Brgy. San Agustin, and Blk 17 Lot 7 Phase 5, Pascualer Ville, San Bartolome.

Police said the remains of Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido and her son, John Ysmael, were recovered from two different locations. Mollenido’s body was found Jan. 24 along the Pulilan Bypass Road in Bulacan, while her son’s body was discovered five days later at a calamansi farm in Victoria, Tarlac.

The mother and child were last seen 16 January after allegedly meeting a car agent regarding a vehicle sale. They were reported missing 19 January.

The suspects are expected to face multiple charges, including double murder.
