LAMITAN CITY, Basilan — Regional public works officials turned over three major infrastructure projects to the municipality of Lantawan recently, marking a significant upgrade to the town’s maritime, water and transport capabilities.
The Ministry of Public Works Basilan District Engineering Office completed a seaport expansion, a new water system and a solar-lit footbridge aimed at bolstering the economic development of the municipality.
District Engineer Kasim Hasanin said the projects will directly improve the quality of life for residents by securing access to clean water and strengthening trade.
