Ten years into her journey in showbiz, Barbie Imperial marked a deeply personal milestone —one that goes beyond red carpets and roles.
On Facebook, the actress shared the fulfillment of a long-held dream: owning a home in her home province of Bicol.
“MAY BAHAY NA AKO SA BICOL (I now have a house in Bicol),” she wrote, opening her post with disbelief and joy.
Reflecting on the years it took to get there, she added, “Oh my… 10 years in the industry and was able to put a roof over my mama and kuya’s (big brother’s) heads, and now I have my own home in my province.”
The achievement, she emphasized, was the result of collective faith and hard work.
“Thank you to everyone who helped me achieve my dreams in life. I’m especially thankful to ABS-CBN and my Star Magic family for all the projects they trusted me with. To everyone who trusted me and continues to trust me, thank you.”
Her gratitude extended to the institutions that shaped her career — ABS-CBN and Star Magic — and to the people who believed in her along the way.
Behind the keys and the walls, however, was years of quiet perseverance.
“Nakakaiyak kasi sobrang pinagpaguran ko to ng ilang taon (It’s so tear-jerking because I really worked so hard on this for many years... puyat, pagod, at ilang beses na iyak (sleeplessness, tiredness and crying for several times). Huhu salamat sa Diyos at syempre sa nagiisa kong lakas, mama… para sayo ‘to lahat (Thank God and of course to my only strength, my mom… all of these are for you).”
It was a dedication to her mother — her constant source of strength — that grounded the celebration.
Barbie also acknowledged the family and creative hands who helped bring the home to life. “Thank you to my cousin, Architect @ar.pattmarbella @vestaarchitectsph for this beautiful design.”
More than a property milestone, the Bicol home stands as a testament to endurance, faith and family —proof that after years of sacrifice, some dreams don’t just come true; they come home.
