Unidentified woman critically wounded in Rizal shooting

An unidentified woman is currently fighting for her life after being shot in Sitio Upper Tan-ag, Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal on Sunday night.

According to the the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station, they received a call from barangay personnel at around 10:30 PM to report a shooting incident that occurred in the said area.

Based on the initial investigation, operatives immediately responded led by the duty officer of the day. Upon arriving at the crime scene, authorities found the victim lying face down on the ground and covered in blood.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Currently, the victim who was wearing a black short and a black sleeveless top remains unidentified.

Authorities remain clueless about the identity of the suspect who quickly fled after the crime.

The Rodriguez police are now conducting a follow-up operation and a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting and to identify the perpetrator.

They are also determining if there are CCTV cameras in the area that could help solve the case.

Authorities also encouraged anyone with information or who has a missing relative matching the victim's description to contact them immediately.
