The Department of Health (DOH) said it is all set for the upcoming Feast of the Jesus Nazareno on Friday, 9 January.

In a press briefing on Monday, 5 January, Health Secretary Ted Herbosa said all DOH-accredited hospitals are prepared for the influx of Nazarene devotees who will be needing medical assistance.

About 200 health emergency management personnel from different hospitals will be deployed during the Traslacion in strategic areas, according to Herbosa.

"Nakaplano po yan. Magse-set off tayo ng mga teams na ide-deploy (It is planned already. We will set off teams that will be deployed)," Herbosa said.

The DOH raised Code White Alert in National Capital Region hospitals in anticipation of health emergencies during the religious event.

Last year’s Traslacion drew over 8.12 million devotees, much higher than the number of participants in 2024.

Every year, millions of devotees flock to Quiapo Church to honor the Jesus Nazareno in hopes of having their prayers answered and receiving miracles.
