Magic is about to check in — no wand required. Europe is preparing to welcome the world’s very first hotel entirely inspired by the Harry Potter universe.
Set within LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort in Günzburg, Germany, this one-of-a-kind destination promises an immersive stay that brings the Wizarding World to life. Just a few hours from Luxembourg and easily accessible from across France and Belgium, the hotel offers a Hogwarts-like escape without the need for a transatlantic journey.
Every corner of the hotel is being designed with careful attention to detail. Guest rooms will reflect the signature colors of the four Hogwarts houses, while playful touches aim to recreate the cozy charm of the beloved series.
Located in Bavaria, roughly midway between Munich and Stuttgart, the resort is perfectly positioned for a magical weekend getaway. While the official opening date has yet to be revealed, more announcements are expected in 2026 as LEGOLAND Deutschland expands its attractions.
Until the doors open, Potterheads can still indulge their love for the Wizarding World at several enchanting stays across the United Kingdom.
In North Yorkshire, the Ground Keeper’s Cottage offers a warm, family-friendly retreat complete with stone walls, wooden beams, and a crackling fireplace — ideal for curling up with a favourite fantasy novel. Meanwhile, York is home to 101 House at the End, a whimsical stay inspired by the famous Grimmauld Place, featuring unique bunk beds, fairy lights and a cozy, storybook atmosphere.
London’s Georgian House Hotel, located near Victoria Station, adds to the magic with gothic four-poster beds, secret corners and décor reminiscent of a Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.
For a truly historic connection, fans can head to Edinburgh’s Balmoral Hotel and stay in the J.K. Rowling Suite, where the final Harry Potter book was completed.
