A provincial most wanted person ranked fifth on the list was arrested during a manhunt operation in Barangay San Pedro, Morong, Rizal on Tuesday night.
The suspect was identified only by the alias “Kalbo,” 35, a resident of Morong, Rizal.
Authorities said the suspect was arrested in connection with charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, for service of sentence.
Police said the accused was informed of his rights and is currently under the custody of the Morong Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and further legal proceedings.
Rizal Police Provincial Director Police Colonel Felipe Gonzalgo commended the Morong Municipal Police Station for the swift and decisive operation that led to the arrest.
Gonzalgo said police units in the province will continue to carry out intensified operations to ensure public safety and security.
