The Pampanga Eye lit up once again as SM Pampanga marked the annual “Biggest Lantern of Hope,” drawing families and visitors who gathered around the giant Ferris wheel to watch the lighting ceremony.
The display, now a yearly tradition in the province, has become one of the most anticipated holiday attractions in Central Luzon. Residents said the lighting serves as a symbolic reminder of resilience and hope as the Christmas season begins.
Families stayed to watch the changing colors across the wheel, while children crowded the open spaces around the ride to take photos and videos of the spectacle. Local visitors noted that the tradition has grown over the years, with many treating the lighting as the unofficial start of Christmas in the province.
The Lantern of Hope will remain on display throughout the holiday season.
