The suspects—identified only by their aliases “Ude,” 39, and “Entong,” 35—were apprehended by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Marikina City Police Station in Barangay Fortune at around 7:10 p.m.
Police recovered five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu—including the purchased item—with an estimated total weight of 20 grams and a standard drug price of P136,000. Also confiscated were a pouch and P500 in buy-bust money.
The suspects were brought to the Marikina City Police Station for investigation and documentation before being transported to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center for medical examination.
Appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed before the Marikina City Prosecutor’s Office. The suspects are currently detained at the Marikina City Police Station custodial facility while awaiting a commitment order.
