The local government of Muntinlupa City conducted its “Kalingang Munti Serbisyo Caravan” in Barangay Tunasan last Saturday and it brought a wide range of free government services directly to residents.
Organized by the Community Affairs Development Office, the caravan offered several medical services, including general medical and dental check-ups, breast and cervical screenings and eye check-ups, with free reading glasses provided to the first 300 beneficiaries.
Non-medical assistance offered included legal guidance for document corrections, assistance with delayed birth registration, and the facilitation of applications for Care Cards, Persons with Disability (PWD) IDs and Unified PWD IDs.
Free haircuts, massages and registration for the PhilHealth YAKAP program were also provided.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon personally visited the site at Victoria Homes, Tunasan, to meet residents and inspect the service delivery.
Biazon said that the initiative aims to make frontline government assistance more accessible to the community.
