Budget airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) has begun deploying its wide-body A330neo aircraft to the Manila–Bohol route to offer passengers a more comfortable and efficient travel option.

The Gokongwei-led air carrier said Sunday that the 459-seater A330neo nows operate daily flights to Bohol-Panglao International Airport.

The inaugural A330neo service was welcomed with a water cannon salute upon landing, marking the start of a wider deployment of the aircraft across key domestic routes.

The arrival ceremony was attended by Bohol Governor Erico “Aris” Aumentado, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Deputy Director General for Operations Retired Lt. Gen. Rozzano Briguez, CEB Vice President for Corporate Affairs Atty. Maria Cecilia Natividad, Aboitiz Airports Chief Operations Officer Terence Delomoney, Bohol Provincial Tourism Office Officer in Charge Joanne Pinat, and Bureau of Fire Protection Bohol Provincial Fire Marshall Insp. Eulalio Gementiza.

“As we bring the A330neo to more domestic routes like Bohol, we reinforce our mission to make travel accessible for every Juan and to support tourism and economic growth across the Philippines,” Natividad said.

CEB is currently the largest operator of A330neo aircraft in Asia-Pacific, with 13 units in its fleet.

The aircraft also operates on CEB’s routes to Cebu, Davao, General Santos, and Puerto Princesa, as well as several international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The A330neo deployment supports the airline’s push for higher capacity, improved comfort, and more sustainable operations.

Airbus NEO aircraft burn up to 25 percent less fuel and produce less noise than previous-generation jets, resulting in lower carbon emissions and more efficient service across domestic and regional destinations.
