A 58-year-old man was arrested in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, on Monday in connection with an alleged P20 million estafa case involving a fake baccarat gambling scheme, the Southern Police District (SPD) reported Tuesday.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Bobby,” was apprehended during a joint operation at a restaurant. The operation stemmed from a complaint filed by a businessman in Lipa City, Batangas.
Reports said that the businessman claimed he was tricked into investing in a “winning baccarat scheme” at Resorts World Manila.
