The Department of Health (DOH) distributed medicines and clean drinking water to the victims of Typhoon #TinoPH in Cebu, Leyte, and Aklan.
After being examined by DOH doctors and determining the risk level, affected residents in Cebu have been given Doxycycline against leptospirosis. The DOH also distributed medicines for fever, cough, and colds.
Meanwhile, the DOH also conducted medical assessment and health monitoring in Leyte to identify the medicines needed, profile evacuees to ensure proper services, and conduct surveillance to prevent the spread of disease.
In Aklan, the DOH has provided medical aid to over 1,800 families. Also among the items distributed were hygiene kits, jerrycans, water containers with clean drinking water, and a supply of Doxycycline.
