Emerging as the highest-ranked educational institution in this year’s governance assessment, Far Eastern University (FEU) recently received two Golden Arrow Awards from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) at the 2025 Golden Arrow Recognition Night held at Okada Manila.
The citation affirms FEU’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical management — values that extend beyond the boardroom and into the University’s broader mission of providing quality education with responsible stewardship.
“At FEU, good governance is not merely a compliance exercise; it is central to how we serve our stakeholders and community,” said FEU Chair Aurelio Montinola III, who accepted the award on behalf of the University.
“We view responsible management and academic excellence as deeply connected. This recognition from ICD reinforces our belief that an institution’s strength comes from the trust it earns,” he added.
The ASEAN Corporate Governance Scoreboard, which is the basis of the Golden Arrow Awards, measures the performance of companies in the areas of facilitating the rights and equitable treatment of shareholders, sustainability and resilience, how they relate to their different stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability through timely disclosure of material information, and how the board guides the company strategically, monitors the management, and ensures the board’s accountability to the company and the shareholders.
