

Taiwan–based data management solution company Synology Inc. recently held Synology Solution Day 2025 on 23 October 2025, at SPACE in One Ayala, Makati.
The symposium gathered over 500 information technology (IT) professionals to showcase the company’s latest developments in data storage, cybersecurity, business productivity and video surveillance.

“Synology solutions enable secure and scalable data management in over 100 countries worldwide, helping organizations reduce total cost of ownership and improve operational efficiency,” said Synology Southeast Asia Head Thachawan Chinchanakarn.
“In the Philippines, as businesses accelerate digital transformation and strengthen data protection against emerging cyber threats, Synology continues to support them with comprehensive solutions that enhance operational efficiency and ensure long-term data security,” she added.
Top priorities
Claire Huang, Synology’s country manager for the Philippines, said data protection and recovery remain top priorities for businesses amid increased adoption of AI and automation.
“In response to these market demands, Synology unveiled the PAS7700, an NVMe SSD dual-controller storage solution, and further strengthened data protection solutions to help counter the growing threats of hacking and data breaches. Our goal is to empower Filipino businesses to pursue innovation while maintaining a secure data environment,” she said.
A panel discussion featured local IT leaders including Vhran Guanio, head of IT at Tom’s World Philippines, and Christian R. Vallez, head of Knowledge Management at Ayala Corporation, both citing Synology’s reliability and flexibility in ensuring business continuity and knowledge preservation.
New enterprise solutions
The company introduced new enterprise solutions, including its PAS series with active-active dual controllers and end-to-end NVMe technology, alongside updates to DSM 7.3, which improve data security and storage efficiency.
Synology also showcased ActiveProtect enhancements that bolster cyber resilience and compliance, featuring tools like WORM (Write Once, Read Many) and network isolation to strengthen data protection.
In addition, Synology expanded its AI-powered video surveillance ecosystem and unveiled a new communication platform integrating messaging, video conferencing, and AI-driven productivity tools under its Synology AI Console, aimed at boosting enterprise collaboration and efficiency.
