CAAP: Aircraft linked to ex-Rep. Zaldy Co flew abroad amid ICI probe

Three aircraft linked to resigned Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co have departed the country, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed Wednesday.

In a statement, the CAAP said two AgustaWestland helicopters flew to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, on 20 August and 11 September.

“Meanwhile, the Gulfstream aircraft has been in Singapore since August 16,” the statement read.

The aviation authority said it continues to closely monitor all registered air assets in compliance with aviation laws and international protocols.

Co is under scrutiny over his alleged involvement in anomalous flood control projects that have also implicated other lawmakers.

On Tuesday, the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) issued another subpoena to Co’s residence in Pasig City, warning that it may seek contempt charges if he continues to ignore the summons.
