Two suspects were arrested in an early morning drug buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station in Barangay San Isidro, Rizal, on Friday.
The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Jun,” 34, and “Bong,” 55, both residents of Barangay Mascap, were caught in possession of several sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 15 grams with an estimated value of ₱102,000.
Police also confiscated three one-hundred peso bills used as buy-bust money, ₱300 in cash, and a .38 caliber revolver with three live rounds of ammunition from alias Jun.
The suspects and seized evidence were turned over to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for drug testing and further examination. They are now detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station custodial facility.
Alias Jun will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. Alias Bong will be charged under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
