Under Republic Act 11888, which upgraded the Orani District Hospital into a Level II General Hospital, the facility now has a 200-bed capacity and was renamed Antonino “Tony” P. Roman Memorial Hospital.
The hospital offers a wide range of services, including emergency, outpatient, inpatient, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, ultrasound, dental, hospital information management, PhilHealth, Konsulta, universal health care, and animal bite services. It is also equipped to provide newborn hearing screening, newborn screening, operating and delivery rooms, blood station, social services, family planning, HIV services, smoking cessation programs, and CT scan services.
The new hospital aims to provide Bataeños with quality and affordable medical care, strengthening the health and well-being of families in the province. The renaming honors the late Congressman Antonino “Tony” Roman.
