Filipino stars immortalized at Madame Tussauds

From global icons to timeless performers, several Filipino celebrities have made history by being immortalized at the world-famous Madame Tussauds, joining the ranks of international legends whose legacies continue to inspire across generations. Each wax figure is more than a display — it’s a tribute to excellence, artistry, and Filipino pride shining on the world stage.

Kathryn Bernardo: The Newest Star to Shine in Wax

From breaking box-office records to winning hearts worldwide, Kathryn Bernardo now takes her place among global icons as the newest Filipino celebrity to join Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

The announcement was made through Madame Tussauds’ official Instagram, confirming that Kathryn had her sitting session in August 2025, with her wax figure set for unveiling in 2026.

“It’s a dream come true to have my own wax figure, and I’m grateful to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust in me,” Kathryn shared. “I’m excited for my fans worldwide to visit and interact with my twin, especially as Hong Kong is such a meaningful milestone for me.”

Pia Wurtzbach: The Universe’s Queen in Wax

When Pia Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe 2015, she didn’t just make history — she brought the Philippines back to the global stage after four decades. As the first Filipino to have a Madame Tussauds wax figure, her statue marked another milestone: it was flown to Manila for its grand unveiling before taking its permanent place in Hong Kong.

During the reveal, Pia and her wax twin stunned in identical royal blue Swarovski-embellished gowns designed by Michael Cinco — a breathtaking recreation of her iconic Miss Universe moment.

Manny Pacquiao: The Champion Immortalized

The Pambansang Kamao, Manny Pacquiao, remains an enduring symbol of hard work and national pride. After decades of unmatched victories, he became the first Filipino to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds.

His wax twin reflects his boxing glory, wearing his own lucky boxing garments — a personal donation from the eight-division world champion himself. The figure stands not only as a tribute to his achievements but also to his journey from General Santos to global greatness.

Lea Salonga: Broadway’s Timeless Voice

Lea Salonga, the voice of Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan and a Tony Award-winning Broadway star, holds a special place in the hearts of Filipinos worldwide. Her wax figure, housed in Madame Tussauds Singapore, celebrates her status as one of the world’s most acclaimed performers.

Dressed in a “workhorse gown” designed by Rajo Laurel, a close friend of the artist, the figure embodies Lea’s grace, professionalism, and authenticity — the same traits that have defined her storied career.

Catriona Gray: The Queen Who Set the World Ablaze

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is immortalized at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, wearing her legendary lava gown by designer Mak Tumang. The figure captures every detail from her winning moment — her cascading curls, radiant smile, and her iconic ear cuff inspired by the sun and stars of the Philippine flag.

More than a tribute to her victory, Catriona’s figure symbolizes her advocacy for education and empowerment — proving that beauty truly thrives when it uplifts others.

Anne Curtis-Smith: The It-Girl of Philippine Entertainment

Actress, host, and fashion icon Anne Curtis-Smith holds the distinction of being the first Filipino actress in Madame Tussauds’ “Hong Kong Glamour Zone.” With over 25 years in showbiz, Anne’s impact spans film, fashion, and philanthropy.

Her wax figure wears a cream Dior dress personally donated by Anne — the same outfit she wore during her celebrated return to the fashion scene. Holding a microphone, the statue symbolizes Anne’s voice — not just as a performer, but as a woman who uses her platform to empower and inspire.

From the boxing ring to the silver screen, from Broadway stages to the Miss Universe runway, these Filipino icons prove that the Filipino spirit knows no bounds. Their wax figures at Madame Tussauds stand as symbols of perseverance, artistry, and excellence — a reminder that wherever the Filipino stands, greatness follows.
