CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) intensified its anti-crime operations this week, resulting in the arrest of 14 drug suspects, the confiscation of P151,300 worth of shabu, and the surrender of 10 loose firearms in a series of coordinated raids and community-driven initiatives.
Within a 24-hour period, police units across the province also arrested four wanted individuals linked to serious crimes, including homicide and child abuse violations. Among those apprehended were suspects wanted under Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse) and qualified theft.
Simultaneously, anti-drug operations led to the seizure of 22.5 grams of shabu in sting operations across nine cities and municipalities, including Cabanatuan, Gapan, and Talavera. All suspects face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In a parallel effort to curb violence, 10 firearms—including unlicensed rifles and handguns—were voluntarily surrendered to police stations in Zaragoza, San Antonio, and six other towns following NEPPO’s appeal for communities to comply with firearm regulations.
