The city government rescued 22 minors during an operation conducted in various areas of Angeles City, Pampanga, on 14 October 2025.
The rescue operation, ordered by Mayor Jon Lazatin II through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), included two male minors found near SM Clark and Astro, nine male minors from Malabanias, Korean Town, and Pampang Market, and three female minors from the same areas.
All 14 rescued minors were referred to the Kanlungan ng Kabataan Reformation Center for proper care, intervention, and rehabilitation. The Angeles City LGU, through the CSWDO, reiterated its commitment to protecting children’s welfare and ensuring their safety and well-being within the community.
Mayor Lazatin said that the CSWDO also conducted a separate rescue operation around Barangay Sto. Rosario, resulting in the rescue of eight male minors.
Following standard protocols, the rescued minors were immediately referred to the Kanlungan ng Kabataan Reformation Center for appropriate intervention and rehabilitation. The initiative forms part of the city’s continuing efforts to safeguard children’s rights and welfare.
