Food for the eyes and soul

Plant-based creations that nourish both body and soul.
Filipino cuisine is known for its rich flavors and love for fresh ingredients, yet when it comes to vegetarian and vegan options, choices remain surprisingly limited.
Recognizing this gap, The Manila Hotel has taken a mindful step forward by introducing a plant-based menu that celebrates both wellness and Filipino creativity.

Riza Shanti Lim brings wellness and creativity to every plate.
In an exclusive collaboration with Riza Shanti Lim, founder of Orissa Garden of Wellness in Magalang, Pampanga, the hotel reimagines dining with a purpose.
Lim, a passionate advocate for mindful eating, brings her floral flair and holistic philosophy to the kitchen, transforming simple vegetables into vibrant, flavorful masterpieces. From having few vegetarian dishes before, guests can now indulge in a curated vegan selection available for dine-in or takeout.

Plant-based creations that nourish both body and soul.
A self-proclaimed food explorer, Lim loves discovering how plant-based ingredients can elevate everyday meals. One highlight is the Sweet and Sour Veggie Balls from Red Jade, a hearty dish that satisfies without making you miss meat.
Over at The Champagne Room, mushrooms, eggplants and seasonal greens are masterfully turned into elegant courses like ravioli, scallops, risotto and soup. Diners often leave feeling full yet light, a testament to how good food can nourish both body and spirit.
The shift toward plant-based dining reflects a growing lifestyle movement rooted in compassion, mindfulness and sustainability.
Many people embrace vegetarianism or veganism not only for personal health but also as an act of kindness toward the planet and all living beings. Studies also show that plant-based diets help lower the risk of heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers while improving digestion and energy levels.
Environmentally, eating more plants reduces one’s carbon footprint, conserves water and supports the fight against global hunger by using fewer natural resources.
Through this partnership, The Manila Hotel sets a new precedent in luxury dining, where indulgence meets intention and wellness becomes part of the experience. Soon, the hotel will also roll out holiday-themed vegetarian dishes for the -Ber months, inviting guests to celebrate the season with a feast that is good for the body, the soul and the planet.
