The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Thursday warned the public against individuals asking for pesonal details in exchange for P20,000 cash aid by name-dropping the name of Vice President Sara Duterte and the agency.
"Kumakalat ang mga pekeng mensahe na ginagamit ang pangalan ng Office of the Vice President at ni Vice President Sara Duterte para manghingi ng detalye kapalit umano ng P20,000 cash assistance. Ito ay FAKE NEWS," the OVP said in a Facebook post.
The OVP urged the public to be critical and refrain from giving out personal information.
"Kung may natatanggap kayong ganitong mensahe, huwag po itong sagutin o i-click ang anumang link. I-report agad sa aming official channels o sa mga awtoridad," the agency added.
