Police seized more than P1.4 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two suspects during a buy-bust operation in Rodriguez, Rizal early Tuesday morning.
Nabbed in the operation were identified only by the alias Michael, tagged as high-value individual; and alias John John, considered as street-level individual.
The two suspects were apprehended in an operation conducted by operatives of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station's drug enforcement team along of J. Ramos Street, Libis, Barangay Geronimo, Rodriguez, at about 2:20 a.m.
Confiscated from the suspects were five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and two pieces of knot-tied transparent plastic cellophanes containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 210 grams, with a standard drug price of P1,428,000.
Also seized from them were P1,000 buy-bust money; P800 confiscated money; and a sling bag.
The two suspects, now detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station custodial facility, will be charged for violation with Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
