Senator Camille Villar honored the country’s firefighters for their dedication and heroism during the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region’s (BFP-NCR) 34th founding anniversary celebration Friday.
Speaking at the commemorative event, Villar praised BFP personnel for their critical role in protecting lives and property, urging them to “continue to serve the country with fervor to save lives.”
“This celebration is not just a look back; it is also a glimpse into the future — a call for you to continue what you have started: To be a fire of compassion, a light of service, and a pillar of safety for every Filipino,” said the senator, who is the youngest member of the 20th Congress.
Villar described the BFP as more than just a group of firefighters, calling them “defenders of life, first responders in times of disaster, and bearers of hope amid danger.” She acknowledged the daily risks firefighters take and commended their bravery and compassion as public servants.
The senator’s message underscored the BFP’s vital role in the community and called for continued resilience and excellence within the bureau.
Villar also congratulated the BFP-NCR on its milestone and saluted the awardees recognized for their outstanding service.
