What happens when viral internet personalities step into the world of primetime television? For Abi Marquez, Tito Abdul, and Tito Marsyyy, the leap from online comedy to dramatic acting is not only a bold new chapter—it’s a natural evolution.
The trio, who rose to fame through their distinct and comedic social media personas, now star in the GMA Prime series Sanggang Dikit FR. Abi plays a lumpia vendor—a role cheekily close to her popular moniker, “Lumpia Queen”—while Tito Abdul and Tito Marsyyy portray barangay tanods whose sexuality remains delightfully ambiguous, echoing their playful and flamboyant online identities.
In their recent guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the King of Talk delved into what pushed them to take the plunge from digital to dramatic.
“I got the invite to do a—anong tawag dun yung first time mong haharap sa camera? Look test,” Abi recalled, laughing. “Akala ko nga audition s’ya, so parang practice practice pa ko. But apparently, it was actually like an offer to me… So, ako po kase I’m the [type of] person to try everything kahit once.”
Her openness to try new things led her straight into the spotlight—this time, not in a vertical video, but on national television.
Meanwhile, Abdul and Marsyyy shared that their roles as tanods weren’t much of a stretch.
“Kanal kase kami nito, Tito Boy eh,” Marsyyy joked, drawing laughter from the studio. “So parang medyo, madali na lang sa amin na ma-adapt ‘yung pagiging tanod na role. Kase more on mga, ‘Hoy, halika rito!’… Eh in real life, mabunganga naman talaga kami.”
Known for their humorous and gender-fluid personas online, the two are frequently asked about their real-life identities. Boy, never one to hold back, posed the inevitable question: “Natatanong ba kayo, ‘Bakla ba kayo’?”
Marsyyy chuckled, answering with their signature mystery: “Ang lagi naming sagot, it’s for you to find out.”
“O kaya ‘yung tagline namin na, ‘Di mo sure,’” added Abdul.
But just when things seemed perfectly ambiguous, the Fast Talk segment delivered a curveball. Asked if they had girlfriends, both answered in unison, “Yes.”
Despite being newcomers to television, all three had nothing but praise for their co-stars, particularly Sanggang Dikit FR leads Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo.
“Ako po, usually ang nakakaeksena ko si Jennylyn,” Abi said. “First scene ko po, with her agad. So, na-pressure po ako, pero she was so nice.”
“Si Ate Jen at Kuya Dennis, ikaw talaga ang dapat humabol sa kanila eh kase nandito sila eh,” quipped Marsyyy with admiration.
From viral videos to full-blown acting roles, these social media stars are proving that authenticity, humor, and a willingness to try new things can break digital boundaries—and win over primetime audiences.
Whether online or on screen, one thing’s for sure: Di mo sure, pero gusto mong panoorin.
