A late Saturday morning fire gutted about 150 shanties in Isla de Romero, Quiapo, Manila.
Based on a report by the Manila Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the incident occurred at 12:11 a.m. and reached the second alarm before it was declared under control at 1:21 p.m.
According to the BFP, firefighters had difficulty battling the blaze due to narrow alleys and small inner roads.
Arson investigators are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire and the estimated damage.
No injuries or casualties were reported during the incident.
