The southwest monsoon or "habagat" will affect parts of Luzon on Saturday, 2 August, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
The tropical cyclone outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) was last spotted 1,365 kilometers (km) east of northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
It had a maximum sustained winds of 45 km per hour (km/h) and gustiness of up to 55 km/h.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.
Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are also expected.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience. cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms
PAGASA said up to three cyclones may enter or form within the PAR this August.
