There’s a quiet neighborhood in Angeles City, Pampanga, where furniture started to acquire a deeper significance.

Beyond form and purpose, designer Katrina Blanca de Leon noticed that each piece was braided with memory, soul and story. Genteelhome, a slow-design atelier founded on the idea that every home deserves things crafted with intention, quickly grew from what started out as a small studio in 2013.

Growing up surrounded by artisans and influenced by the understated elegance of historic Filipino homes, De Leon had an idea for furniture that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also profoundly personal. Her enthusiasm turned into a movement that embraced Filipino craftsmanship at its most considerate and respected traditional methods. Whether it’s a custom accent chair or an entire living room set, every Genteelhome product is made to represent the life it’s intended to house.

From ethically produced wood to solihiya weaving, the materials are carefully picked for their timeless appeal rather than their current fashion. From sketch to final polish, each piece is expertly and proudly sculpted as it passes through the hands of designers and craftspeople in unison. It’s a rhythm of cooperation that transforms spaces into narratives and houses into havens.

Genteelhome has expanded from its Pampanga origins to new residences in La Union and Mandaluyong because to this heartfelt strategy. Furthermore, despite its expanding global reach, the company stays true to its fundamental belief that furniture should feel as though it was originally intended for you.

As De Leon beautifully puts it, “It’s this harmony between designer, artisan, and homeowner — a place where every piece is crafted not only to fit your space but to reflect your story.”

With a renewed dedication to both their long-standing customers and those who are just learning about the brand, Genteelhome is reiterating that concept today. Its primary services are still personal and practical: Project management that turns empty spaces into homes with character and warmth, limited-edition, off-the-rack designs created by regional artisans, and custom furniture created through collaboration.

Heart Evangelista’s role as brand ambassador further amplifies the impact of that message. She embodies Genteelhome’s core values of authenticity, elegance and love-driven guidance via her respect for art, heritage and classic design.
