Vice President Sara Duterte on Saturday expressed gratitude to supporters of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who staged a rally in The Hague calling for his release.
She also acknowledged the supporters' continued prayers for the former president.
Duterte accused the Marcos administration of conspiring with the ICC in what she called an “extraordinary rendition” of her father.
The former president is currently detained at the Scheveningen Prison in The Hague on charges of crimes against humanity related to extrajudicial killings under his administration’s war on drugs.
He is scheduled to appear at a hearing on 23 September to confirm the charges against him.
