Authorities arrested five individuals who are allegedly involved in the illegal gambling and illegal drug use were arrested in an operation in Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal on Thursday night.
The suspects were identified as alias Jayson, 43, a high-value individual, security guard; alias Ole, 37, a street-level individual; alias Son, 35, also a street-level individual; alias Karl, 39, driver; and alias Tantan, 35.
Based on the report, the suspects were caught in the act by the operatives while playing cara y cruz, that led to their immediate arrest.
When frisked, recovered from alias Jayson, alias Ole and alias Ole were one sachet of suspected shabu each, weighing approximately 20 grams and with a standard druf price of P136,000.
Also seized from the suspects were three pieces of one-peso coin used in the illegal gambling and P650 used as bet money (marked money).
The arrested suspects, now detained at the Taytay Municipal Police Station custodial facility, will be charged for violation with Presidential Decree No. 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling Law) and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
