The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) distributed 100 hygiene kits to residents of Barangay 541 in Sampaloc, Manila on 2 July as part of its Gender and Development (GAD) program.
The turnover ceremony was led by PCSO GAD Focal Point Chairperson Atty. Anna Liza Inciong. Barangay Chairman Ramoncito Lagao received the kits on behalf of the community.
According to Lagao, the donation provided much-needed support, particularly for women, senior citizens, and students.
“We are truly grateful to PCSO for providing these hygiene kits. These are very helpful in promoting cleanliness and health among our constituents, especially women and students who need this kind of support,” he said.
The initiative is part of PCSO’s ongoing effort to support gender-responsive programs that benefit vulnerable sectors.
