Priscilla Meirelles: A stunning endorser

She has been maximizing the use of her social media accounts for her professional and personal events. She really is a remarkable woman, undoubtedly worth emulating.

We came across beauty queen, actress, and vlogger Priscilla Meirelles in a recent forum for medical doctors and women. She was there mainly as an inspirational speaker who opened the program after the welcome remarks of the BSV Bioscience Philippines president Bo-Jones Miraflor. The event transpired a few days before Meirelles signed a management contract with Viva Artists Agency.

Why her as an inspirational speaker for doctors, pharmacists and certain patients?

It’s all because the company makes medicine for a woman’s ailment known as endometriosis, for which Meirelles had to undergo surgery last year. We thought she was revealing that fact for the first time in that event, but we found out later when we read up about her that she told the website PEP.ph about it in a report on how she lost so much weight in three months under a doctor’s supervision.

Meirelles posted on her Instagram a few days after the BSV event: “Two nights ago, I had the privilege of sharing my endometriosis journey — from pain to healing.

“Now, I’m excited to share some good news. There’s an economical solution available for pain relief associated with endometriosis, thanks to BSV Bioscience Philippines. They offer a promising option for women bravely battling the symptoms of endometriosis. Together, we’re moving toward a future of hope, healing and empowerment.

“Talk to your doctor about safe and effective solutions for managing endometriosis.”

After her inspirational talk, she interviewed on stage Dr. Maria Victoria Tan, a specialist on women’s reproductive system.

The crowd listened intently to a lecture presented by Dr. Raul Quillamor on “Maximizing Maternal-Fetal Health: Strategic Selection of Vitamin B9 Forms.”

It was our first time to attend a pharmaceutical-medical forum and we found out that it has fun lifestyle-entertainment elements that we can include in our thrice-a-week column.

Entertainment numbers intersperse with serious talks about pharmacology. The select audience enjoyed both even as they do not applaud presences and performances wildly the way the large and loose public do. Stunning as Meirelles is, the doctors, pharmacists and interested women did not swarm her wildly on stage or when she sauntered into the hall for a photo-op with the forum attendees.  They were a well-behaved crowd.

Liza Macuja’s Ballet Manila company performed dances that interpret caring and healing. And so did the El Gamma Penumbra, which we did not know could perform live behind a curtain for their meaningful storytelling by forming shadows with their lit bodies quickly but smoothly merging and disentangling into images of objects, furniture, buildings and humans of varying professions, ages and human body sizes and shapes.

Meirelles sweetly posed for photo session with BSV Philippines executives, namely, the company president, business unit head Froilan Llavore, commercial excellence manager Kristine Magada, marketing manager Victoria Vergel de Dios, medical director Noel Espallardo, product managers Cristina Arellano and Roberto Paulo Andan.

The beauty queen-actress-vlogger isn’t an official endorser of BSV. But she and the company did enjoy the event of having each other as host and guest and may go into future arrangements with full consent of Viva Artists Agency (VAA)

Meanwhile, as a new star of VAA, Meirelles has declared on her Instagram: “I eagerly anticipate a journey filled with hope and new possibilities. It’s never too late to begin again.”

But she seems certain that her new beginnings will most likely never be with her estranged husband, John Estrada. Meirelles has managed not to talk about him at all and Estrada seems to honor that kind of peace between them since he always finds a way to accommodate a request from Meirelles to be with their daughter Anechka, who turned 13 last February, for one reason or another.

Meirelles is a Brazilian beauty queen who won Miss Earth 2004, a global pageant often held in the Philippines, has really chosen the Philippines as her home despite her separation from Estrada. Going through her social media accounts, we get the impression she has moved her entire family to the country, except for her father, whom she seems to have hardly met. Their mother single-handedly brought them up and her sisters.

Her fortitude, smarts and wisdom as a woman must have come mainly from her mother, who celebrated her 61st birthday here in the country recently. The beauty queen’s Instagram recently featured photos of her mother and her sisters celebrating the mother’s birthday in an upscale events venue. All of them have beauty queen looks and vibrant projections. There were no boyfriends and male guests in the photos Priscilla posted on her Instagram and Facebook.

Priscilla is an official endorser of a beauty clinic and has tie-ups with posh resorts in many areas in the Philippines as a vlogger. She has been maximizing the use of her social media accounts for her professional and personal events, including her participation in the BSV forum at Le Pavillon. She really is a remarkable woman, undoubtedly worth emulating.
