A gathering of a discerning circle of collectors, tastemakers, fashion movers, style savants and cultural connoisseurs united by a shared passion for the extraordinary. A celebration of art, taste and timeless elegance unfolded at the vernissage of Finer Pursuits: Important Philippine Art & Rare Collectibles. Held at Salcedo Auctions’ expansive NEX Tower, Ayala Avenue, Makati gallery hosted by Salcedo Auctions founders Richie and Karen Lerma, together with their sons Joaquin and Diego.

Guests were treated to a first look at the June season’s exceptional lineup of the country’s leading auction house which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, led by rare works from internationally acclaimed Filipino masters Fernando Zóbel and Pacita Abad, whose visionary pieces anchor the collection. Equally compelling were masterworks by National Artists BenCab, José Joya, H. R. Ocampo, Vicente Manansala and Federico Aguilar Alcuaz — each offering a unique window into the evolution of Philippine modernism. Adding a deeply personal dimension were curated selections from the private collections of a distinguished Filipino statesman, fashion icon Auggie Cordero, and Oscar-winning actress Glenda Jackson, whose refined tastes and storied lives echoed throughout the evening.

Presented in association with exclusive bank partner UnionBank Elite, public preview for Finer Pursuits is ongoing and open from Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Salcedo Auctions, 2/F NEX Tower, 6786 Ayala Avenue, Makati.
