To boost system stability and meet rising electricity demands, MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) officially energized its new 10/12.5 megavolt-amperes (MVA) Arevalo Mobile Substation on Friday.
The activation of the mobile substation marks a key infrastructure milestone for the Iloilo-based power distributor. It is expected to significantly reduce the frequency and duration of scheduled power interruptions, particularly in the Arevalo district.
MORE Power explained that the temporary facility will not only enhance grid reliability but also relieve load pressure from the nearby Molo and Megaworld substations.
The Arevalo Mobile Substation adds flexibility to the utility’s network as it continues to modernize Iloilo City’s power infrastructure.
