A 30-year-old man identified as Metro Manila’s most wanted person for June was apprehended by Taguig City Police.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Gerardo,” was arrested around 2 p.m. on 12 June in Triumph, FTI, Western Bicutan. According to Col. Rodel A. Pastor, officer-in-charge of the Taguig City Police Station, the arrest was a joint operation by the station’s Warrant and Subpoena Section and Intelligence Section.
“Gerardo,” a resident of South Signal, Taguig, faces murder charges under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 29 of Republic Act 10951, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. The charges are filed under Criminal Case No. 9607.
An arrest warrant, issued on 2 May, carried no recommended bail. Authorities also believe the suspect is a member of a car theft group linked to several incidents across Metro Manila during the second quarter of the year.
The suspect is currently held at the Taguig police custodial facility awaiting further legal action.
