Cesar Chavez, former chief of the Presidential Communications Office, is set to return to Manila City Hall to work with Mayor-elect Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, effective 1 July 2025, the official start of terms for newly elected local government officials.
Chavez, who served as acting secretary of the Presidential Communications Office under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration after being appointed 5 September 2024, left his Palace post to resume his career as a broadcast journalist.
He hosts “Damdaming Bayan,” a Saturday program on DRH that discusses government projects and current issues.
Domagoso is known for his dynamic and results-oriented local governance, which his constituents in the Philippine capital have praised.
In a recent Facebook post, Chavez reflected on his experiences working with Domagoso in 2020.
“I am a witness to the leap of change in the local governance happening in Manila,” Chavez wrote.
