OPM folk-pop sensation Ben&Ben is hitting pause on their stops in Bacolod and Davao for The Traveller Across Dimensions tour as drummer Jam Villanueva takes time off to recover from de Quervain’s tendinosis and “Drummer’s Wrist” — a condition that has affected her left arm’s ability to play.

In an official statement, the nine-piece band thanked their fans in Cebu and supporters of the Daddy Aid Festival, where they recently performed. But the message also came with difficult news.

“Our bandmate and dear friend Jam has been dealing with de Quervain’s tendinosis and ‘Drummer’s Wrist’ for the past couple of weeks,” the band wrote.

“She still continued to rehearse… while working with specialists to manage her pain.”

While the band assured fans that the condition is both temporary and treatable, their priority is Jam’s full recovery. Medical advice has called for a complete rest of her left wrist for at least the entire month of June.

“While we will miss the energy and magic she shares with us on stage, her health is our utmost priority,” they emphasized.

The band has decided to reschedule the Bacolod and Davao legs of the tour, explaining that the essence of the show lies in giving fans the full Ben&Ben experience.

“We want our fans to see and hear the full experience of our album live,” they said, adding that new dates will be announced once finalized.

The band also asked for understanding from their fan base, known as 'Liwanag', and expressed hopes that fans will join them in wishing Jam a speedy recovery.
