The engines fired up, the rubber met the track, and just like that, the 2025 F.C.C. Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup was off to a roaring start last 3 and 4 May at the Tarlac Circuit Hill.
Twelve kids, aged 11 to 15, took on the technical track in a weekend filled with gutsy overtakes, split-second decisions, and the kind of fearless riding you only see when the future of Philippine racing is still learning how to shave.
Each rider was astride a Honda CBR150R, tuned and ready for battle, but the real story was the heart they brought to the grid. These were dreamers with full-throttle ambition.
The group included:
• Jolo Suba, 15
• Travis Canoy Jr., 15
• Gabriel Serevo, 15
• Ronald Galzote, 13
• Eunice Sta. Ana, 15
• Mike Daleniel Supan, 14
• Miguel Dizon, 12
• Vash Aguilar, 14
• Zildjan Blanco, 14
• Nunoy “Kidlat” Vigo, 13
• James Gora, 15
• Melchyzedeck Jacob Ngo, 11
Overseeing the talent was seasoned rider-turned-coach Dashi Watanabe, who’s been lending his expertise to mold these riders into the next big names in motorsports.
The qualifying session gave fans a taste of the fireworks to come. Jolo Suba came out swinging, but hot on his heels was Travis Canoy Jr., who didn’t give an inch. Not far behind, Nunoy “Kidlat” Vigo started making a name for himself with a bold run up the grid.
Race 1: It was all about grit. Canoy made a decisive move to snatch the lead from Suba, while Vash Aguilar stayed within striking distance the whole way. When the dust settled, Canoy took the win, Suba followed in second, and Aguilar rounded out the podium in third.
Race 2: The pressure turned up, and Suba answered the call. He held the lead despite a hungry pack on his tail. Nunoy Vigo pushed through to grab second, and Ronald Galzote clinched third after a gritty ride.
With the first round in the books, the Honda Pilipinas Dream Cup is shaping up to be more than just a race series — it’s where the country’s next motorcycle stars are being born. And if this opening weekend was any indication, it’s going to be one heck of a season.
