The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has commended Iloilo International Airport for successfully retaining its ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) certification following a second surveillance audit held on 13 May 2025.
CAAP said the certification reaffirms the airport’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible operations, in line with international standards. It also supports President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to promote green infrastructure and environmental stewardship in government initiatives.
“This achievement reflects the continued diligence and dedication of Iloilo airport’s staff and management in maintaining high environmental standards and aligning with best industry practices,” CAAP noted in a statement.
The agency added that the recognition is part of broader efforts to strengthen sustainable growth and efficient aviation infrastructure across the country’s airports.
