It was a long time coming. On 5 May 2025, legendary rock band Toto lit up the SM Mall of Asia Arena with a performance that resonated deeply with Filipino fans who had waited 17 years to see them live again.
Part of their ongoing Toto World Tour, the Manila stop became more than a concert — it was a homecoming for the timeless sounds of “Africa,” “Rosanna,” and other fan favorites. As the first notes rang out, the arena erupted with excitement, the crowd instantly transported back to the golden era of late ’70s and ’80s rock.
The band ran through a carefully curated setlist that included “I’ll Supply the Love,” “White Sister,” and the emotional ballad “I Won’t Hold You Back.”
One highlight of the night was undoubtedly the performance of “Rosanna,” where the entire arena came alive, singing along with the unforgettable hit.
As the show drew to a close, lead vocalist Joseph Williams offered heartfelt thanks to the fans and paid tribute to Toto’s last remaining original member, guitarist Steve Lukather.
Now 67, Lukather has stood at the core of Toto since its formation in 1977. His powerful performance that night — equal parts soulful and skillful — was a reminder of the enduring spirit that has carried the band through decades.
Though decades have passed since their peak chart-topping days, Toto’s music continues to resonate across generations.
The SM MOA Arena, a world-class venue known for hosting legacy acts and unforgettable performances, extended its gratitude to Ovation Productions for bringing Toto’s historic return to Manila. With its commitment to global-caliber entertainment, the arena once again proved to be the perfect stage for music that stands the test of time.
