Senator Christopher “Bong” Go reaffirmed his push for education, grassroots sports, and anti-drug efforts during a motorcade in Muntinlupa, joined by fellow senatorial aspirants Atty. Jimmy Bondoc and Phillip Salvador.
Addressing local youth, Go emphasized on Wedensday the role of government programs in shaping the next generation. “Our priority is direct service to the people, especially the youth. This is where real change begins—in education, discipline, and character development,” he said in Filipino.
Go, who chairs the Senate Committees on Youth and Sports, reiterated support for sports as a deterrent to drug use. “Get into sports, stay away from drugs,” he said.
He highlighted past legislation including the National Academy of Sports law, which created a specialized public high school for student-athletes, and bills expanding free college education and mental health services in public universities.
Go also cited laws he co-sponsored that support alternative education, remove exam permit restrictions, and provide additional allowances for public school teachers.
“The youth are the future of the country, and it’s our duty to give them real opportunities,” he said, concluding with a call for hard work, discipline, and public service grounded in faith.
The visit was part of Go’s ongoing campaign ahead of the 2025 elections.
