Philippines bet Alexie Brooks was officially crowned Miss Eco International 2025 during the grand coronation night held on 19 April (20 April in Manila) at the AlZahraa Ballroom, Hilton Green Plaza in Alexandria, Egypt.
Radiating pride and grace, Brooks triumphed over an impressive lineup of global candidates. Throughout the competition, she consistently stood out as a leading contender, earning praise for her poise, presence, and advocacy.
She was named among the Top 5 finalists, joining representatives from Ukraine, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
During the question-and-answer portion, Brooks was asked: “Imagine the world in 2050. What’s one thing you hope has changed?”
The question was met with a heartfelt and compelling response from the Filipina beauty queen, delivered with grace and composure:
"If you want me to be realistic, climate change is impacting our world right now. And the only thing that we can do is to act towards it.
Brothers and sisters, ladies and gentlemen, we have the same mother even if we came from different nations. And we in here are brothers and sisters right now. And our mother is asking for our help. So we must save our planet Earth and we must take care of our Mother Earth. Thank you so much."
With this answer, the crown was confidently secured by Brooks, marking another historic moment for the Philippines on the international pageant stage.
The Philippines' legacy in Miss Eco International continues to shine, with previous wins by Cynthia Thomalla (2018) and Kathleen Paton (2022). Additionally, Maureen Montagne (2019), Kelley Day (2021), and Chantal Schmidt (2024) earned first runner-up placements.
